SCREENPRINTING ON FABRIC with Nancy Evans on Saturday 17th May 2025

Join textile artist Nancy Evans at The Yard Print Studio for this one-day workshop on how to screenprint onto fabric.
In this workshop: You will learn how to use paper cut techniques and specialist inks to get unique and bold prints onto fabric. Guided by Nancy’s expert tuition, participants will learn to use positive and negative stencils, pattern and layering colours to produce beautiful results from simple shapes. A playful and accessible process, these are techniques that can also be used at home.
You will produce: A limited set of hand-made prints on a variety of textile based surfaces, including tote bags and patches.
People are also welcome to bring in items of clothing to try printing onto.
Nancy Evans is a community artist, based in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Nancy has a background in textiles and 20yrs experience of facilitating workshops and producing screen printed textiles in community and health & wellbeing settings. Nancy works with groups to facilitate nature connection and environmental awareness through creative projects using screenprinting as well as willow weaving, primitive skills and cob building.
