Loosen up, be playful and challenge yourself: the theme of this one-day workshop in monoprinting!

Monoprint is a printmaking process that can be uniquely spontaneous and intuitive. A great way to loosen up your practice and try something new. Focussing on drawing, mark-making, painterly approaches to applying ink and working fast!.. this workshop will enable you to create lively and fascinating prints.

In this workshop you will develop your drawing skills through experimental and playful printmaking. You will learn about the variety of techniques for creating monoprints including printing from found objects. You will learn how to use traditional oil based printmaking inks and the etching press to produce exciting results, as well as learning hand printing techniques that can be applied at home.

Participants will take home a set of unique hand-made prints.

Nichola Goff is a multi-disciplinary printmaker based in the Forest of Dean.
